IT’S GONNA GET SOPPY (kinda, a bit)- don’t say I didn’t warn you. This year has been the best year ever ever ever. The past couple of years have been so pants- and although this year there were downs- the ups definitely outweighed them. Recently I’ve been looking and cringing through my old blog posts and it was really nice reading through things that I’d done and totally forgot about. So I thought I might do an overall year thing so when i’m 3948309 years old I can look back on it.
Bloggy Things
This year I started blogging properly. Although I started it towards the end of 2011, I didn’t quite get the total hang of it until this year. I’ve been lucky to go to the #bbloggers Nottingham meet up and also to the Emotional Brilliance evening at Lush, as well as making loads of friends (aw fwends) through twitter who I can’t wait to finally meet in 2013 (Izlaii, Laura, Ellie…)
Leaving School
The best thing to happen this year was leaving school which was possibly the biggest day of my life so far (and one of the happiest too- sad but true!). Knowing I never have to do maths, science, PE, or RE again for the rest of my life is a pretty awesome feeling. I left with 1A*, 10As and a B which I was reaaaaally happy with!
Of course, leaving school means Prom following shortly afterwards. The prom, itself, was pants. But being able to see everyone again and spending the whole day dressing up was really good fun.
Music School Tour to Germany
The day after prom I went on a Music School tour to Germany. We drove all night (yep, still with my prom hair in) and then flew to Germany in the morning and spent the weekend with some other orchestras from Europe. Music School tours were the best- I’m missing not listening playing in an orchestra :( Visiting Berlin was amazing too- to visit all of the sights, it was somewhere I’ve always wanted to go.
I went on a couple of trips to London with my Nan, Friends and family seeing all the sights and also going to Brick Lane, Spitalfields and all round their for the first time which I absolutely lurrrrrrve. Oh to live in London.
Seeing Jake Bugg, Two Door Cinema Club, Metronomy and Mumford & Sons in concert.

The highlight of my whole life. We went to America  and visited LA, Las Vegas, Yosemite, Death Valley and San Francisco. It was definitely the best two weeks ever ever ever and I’d do anything to go back.
This year, I went to Splendour festival which is the tiny little festival at the park behind my house and also went to Leeds for the day which included seeing Dave Grohl in real life form (although, very far away). I cried a little.
I started college this year which was a pretty major thing. It’s really nice to just study the subjects you enjoy- ie: no science, maths etc (English Literature, English Language, Art and French). Spending your life revising and doing homework? not so cool.
(Along with leaving school) The best thing to happen this year was when I went for the job at Lush and got it (YAY!). I enjoy working there so much- working for such a lovely company with amazing products along with the awesomest people ever (plus with mucho disney music). If only I could just work there forever.
Now who saw THAT coming?!?!! I never thought I’d do videos ever but after watching beauty vloggers for ages I decided to join the tube of you. I still don’t get why I do it- all I do is cringe over them. Along with recently making a facebook page and one by one my friends finding out about my blog….. “Ellie you blog?!” erm NOPE??!!!!!!!!

Friends & Family
There’s nothing really I can say about this, I love these guys (plus my brother- I couldn’t find a photo with all of us on!) and I don’t know what I’d do with out them.
ARE YOU ALL IN TEARS?!!?!!!! I’m such an unemotional person. I just cry at cute kittens and puppies. Anyway, see you in 2013, yup? I hope you guys have an awesome year.
This year I want to revise loads and get good grades in my AS Levels so hopefully I can apply to a good university, I need to save more money, improve my blog, and I want to ditch eating so much Greggs (and McDonalds, for that matter). Someone pass me an apple. For myself, this year I want to have more confidence.
now playing: these days foo fighters
