my favourite places in nottingham

Ahoy there, a couple of people recently have mentioned to me about doing a post on my favourite shops/things to do in Nottingham. I'm absolutely rubbish when it comes to visiting new cities and always end up going to the same old shops that you can get in Nottingham. So I hope, perhaps, with this post there might a couple of different shops/cafes/places you might like to visit if you're ever poppig to Nottingham! They're not too adventurous, so, if you have any other recommendations or places to add, let me know! I'm always on the hunt for new places to visit.

my favourite vintage/second hand/charity shops:
wild clothing/white rose/a vintage obsession/cow/braderie/
Most of these places are up in Hockley (if you walk up the road by Zara), it is always lovely to have a wander around there- especially if you're into more alternative/vintage-y fashion. There's also a massssive Oxfam around there too, which is always good to have a rummage around. It's definitely my favourite part of Nottingham. There's also Backlash (on the otherside of Market Square) which is worth having a trip to as well.

my favourite cafes/food-y places
white rabbit tea house/jam cafe/delilah/patisserie valerie
One thing there is absolutely LOADS of in Nottingham is cafes. My favourite place is the White Rabbit Tea House (if you like all things cute- definitely make a trip here). It's full of pretty tea-cups and scones with jam. And then, the funkiest place, is definitely Jam Cafe. They have really tasty food and live music in the evening. Boo ya. There's loads of really lovely nick-nack-y cafe/bars around Hockley so that's definitely the best place to look if you're not really feeling a Starbucks or a Greggs (we have a million and one Greggs in Nottingham). Delilah reminds me of Whole Foods, it has loooads of healthy food with a little cafe bit. Or if you're looking for the complete opposite, you'll probably like Patisserie Valerie (I think they have this in other cities, too?!) but you'll easily be able to spot it with the big crowd of people gorming at the window outside, I hate to say this word, but their cakes are peng. Happy eating.

Would anyone like me to do more Nottingham related posts? Or d'ya think they're super boring?

(and after I wrote this post I was contacted by wow247 to write something similar, if you wanted to have a little look!)

I'd love to see more posts so I can scribble the recommendations down! Lovely! x

  7. We must have bumped into each other about a million times because I go to all these places too.. I used to be in Jam Cafe every single Wednesday to watch my friends do open mic night! Surprised Lee Rosy's tea shop isn't on your list, and have you tried Thea Caffea yet? That place is pretty nice too xxx
