I can’t even begin to tell you how long I’ve wanted to visit Columbia Road Flower Market. I’ve been putting it off for ages as I work most Sundays and I assumed it would be the other side of London……turns out it starts at 8 and it’s only 20 minutes away from me so there wasn’t really an excuse. I’m basing a project for uni around a flower market so went a bit mad taking pictures and it turned out a bit flower overload when I went last weekend. I got there around half 8 just as it was starting to get busy and there were guys shouting out in proper cockney accents about roses and the whole street smelt of flowers too (which I suppose is obvious but I really liked it). There were so many types too, I don’t have much flower knowledge but I did pick up some dried winter flowers that are sitting nicely in my bedroom. Along the street there’s some really lovely independent coffee shops and garden utensils being sold, it was like a little piece of English countryside in the middle of London. I can’t wait for my Mum to come down so I can take her along (and I can visit again). Very much recommend.
Anyway, by the time this has published I will be in PARISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Ay ay ay.
