I’ve been looking through my blog over the past couple of months to do my annual year thing (see last year, and year before) and in between crying and wishing I still had long hair when scrolling through my old posts, I noticed a clear divide – BL (before London, a time spent doing coursework, working and revising) and IL (in London, a time that feels like a never ending holiday). Let’s not cry too much guys.

Trips away and the Lush Spa

In between a couple of trips down to Landan, I dragged my Mum to Kew Gardens because of ‘A-Level Art research’ and it will forever be one of my favourite places in London. The Palm House is beautiful with it’s old Victorian spiral staircases filled with tropical plants – so lovely. After exams, we also visited Liverpool for the first time and had the best couple of days. Another favourite city. I also had my first Spa Treatment from Lush – The Comforter. I loved it so much me and Mum and are going for The Sound Bath treatment in the new year. So excited!

This year we visited Barcelona for a week and it’s my new all time favourite city. Split evenly between shopping, chilling, and sight seeing it was wicked. I loved seeing all the Gaudi, visiting the antiques market (and meeting up with Islay) and wandering down cobbled streets.
So yeah then that whole getting A-Levels, finding a house and moving to London thing happened. Incredibly terrifying, incredibly cool. A new city, a new job (ish), new people and moving out – it was a dramatic month where I learnt how to cook (er, kinda) and how to use a washing machine and I’m still alive! Hallelujah! Since here, the London bucket list has been well and truly ticked – visiting God’s Own Junkyard, Greenwich Market, Columbia Road, finally being able to meet Naomi and of course doing all the Christmas stuff. Uni is wicked, London is wicked and I’ve met a really lovely bunch of people. All is good.
MY DREAM CAME TRUE. I went with uni to Paris and ticked every blogger cliche going. It was beautiful. Another another favourite city to add to the list. C’était beau.

Hahahahaahahahahaha or maybe not. Me and my housemates are included in Jessie Ware’s latest music video and it made our whole year and I stood in the audience for the filming of this year’s Christmas and New Years Eve Top of the Pops. Insane.
My first LFW and blog things

I never thought I’d actually go but I received invites to London Fashion Week in September and went to see the new season for my all time favourite, Orla Kiely. I stood in the courtyard of Somerset House and felt very out of place and generally spent 3 days people watching. The whole fashion industry is ridiculous but I loved it all (in a kind of standing on the outside and looking in way). For my lil blog I feel really really lucky to have worked with some wicked companies too, New Look, Urban Outfitters, Barbour …..I still find all this insane!!
This year I need to eat healthier (ie – cut out the Greggs), maybe do some exercise (making no promises though), work hard and be positive. Also tweet less. Anyway, thank you for following my blog and I’ll see you ON THE FIP SIDE.

Also sorry about the silence this past week, I’ve spent the whole week doing nothing and it’s felt SO NICE.
